I am sure that all the writers out there will agree with me that sometimes writing just doesn’t want to happen. Sometimes it flows, sometimes it doesn’t. /sigh
Anyway, on to the positives!
We have decided that the demo should allow players to have an intimate moment with each of the court-able options. I don’t know about you, but after basic information/introduction, I have already picked my favourite and get excited about the courting that will shortly ensue. I hope that you will all experience the same thing once you get your hands on the demo. The demo will take place not at the beginning of the game, but in the middle. None of these boring introduction, none of this slow of the mark dialogue - let’s just get in to the nitty gritty of everyday life.
So where is our method?
Well, after a few trial drafts, we have realised each other’s strengths and weaknesses in writing and how to bring the two together in unison. Follow these easy steps to understand our method:
Step 1: Draft basic idea between the two of us as to what events are occurring within the drafted timeframe.
Step 2: MoltenCherry writes full draft of the in game time frame we have allocated to be written
Step 3: Nyx goes over the draft, editing, adding the romance and filling in the holes.
Step 4: ???
Step 5: Profit. (Ok, not really)
Let me explain. When writing, we realised that I write too succinctly and straight to the point. I don’t care about side way glances or light brushings of hands against one another; however Nyx is all about that. She lives for the light touches, the unspoken words and the delightful world of shipping. I write two people are in a room, she writes the room was filled with tension and awkward silences. We are truly a team made for each other.
